Susan Brown has been with SunTrust Bank for 27 years. She is an Executive Vice President, leading the Wholesale Operational Excellence Division. Susan has over 27 years of banking experience including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Business Banking, Dealer Finance, Not-For-Profit/Muni Finance, Credit Risk Management, and Project Management/ Strategic Development. Susan began her banking career with Barnett Bank in Florida, in a Management Development program where she grew to hold leadership positions in Credit Underwriting and Commercial Real Estate. She then expanded these responsibilities upon joining Huntington Bank when charged with developing a statewide Commercial Real Estate, Loan Closing and Construction Administration Division. Susan joined SunTrust in 2002 through the SunTrust acquisition of Huntington Bank’s Florida operation. Susan was the Commercial Real Estate Line of Business Leader for the West Coast of Florida for seven years. She was then promoted to the Commercial Line of Business Leader for Southwest Florida and soon after was asked to oversee the Auto Dealer portfolio for the Southern Half of the SunTrust footprint as a Credit Risk Manager. In 2012 Susan was asked to lead the development of the Loan Administration Division for SunTrust Bank in addition to the restructure of the Commercial Credit Division. Success in this role led to the leadership and development of the Wholesale Operational Excellence Division focusing on continuous improvement, performance analytics, complaints management and robotics automation implementation across Wholesale Lending, Treasury & Payment Solutions and Corporate and Investment Banking. Susan holds a B.A. and B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She currently resides in Sarasota, Florida.
